About
Criminal defense attorney representing clients facing State & Federal criminal charges.

It is important to seek legal counsel as soon as possible. An attorney will be able to advise you on the specific laws and charges in your state, as well as the potential consequences of a conviction. Being charged with child abuse is a serious matter, and if your son is convicted, it could have severe consequences for him, including long prison sentences and being placed on a child abuse registry. the prosecution will have to prove that your son intentionally or knowingly caused harm to the child. If it can be shown that your son did not intend to cause harm, it may be possible to argue that he should not be convicted of child abuse. The attorney will be able to advise you on the specific defenses that may be available in your son's case, and help you build the strongest possible defense. Depending on the facts of the case, potential defenses may include arguing that the injuries were accidental, that your son did not have the intent to harm the child, or that the prosecution cannot prove that your son caused the injuries. There may be alternative dispositions to a trial, such as plea bargaining. Your son's attorney will be able to advise him on the best course of action in his case.
