What is the punishment for obstruction of justice?
Last updated on: February 14, 2020
I'm a student and i'm currently undertaking legal studies. I've been reading this play the teacher gave us. I need to know something about obstruction of justice. To be more specific: This man has seen someone being raped and has not reported it to the police. What will his punishment be, if any?

This would not always be obstruction of justice, unless the man was called as a witness and then lied about seeing anything and they can prove that he had. Then the punishment would vary by state.
