I first received my J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law. I then obtained my LL.M. in Taxation from The University of Florida Levin College of Law. I practiced in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a small, established firm. There, I focused mainly on corporate, securities, tax, and estate planning. In August 2007, I returned home to Dallas, where I began working in-house as the Chief Legal Officer for an insurance marketing company. There, I handled all legal matters that arose in the course of business. I was also involved in all business decisions of the company. My role was often to assess the legal risks of the potential business decision and advise accordingly. Additionally, since moving back to Dallas, I have continued to do legal work for a client from Tulsa.
