Neelu K. Khanuja is the founder and lead trial attorney at Khanuja Law in Los Angeles, CA. She specializes in matters of Personal Injury, Labor and Employment, and Workers’ Compensation. 

Prior to founding her independent firm, Neelu worked at the largest California Workers’ Compensation defense firm in the state and a local Applicant’s attorney firm. For the injured worker, Neelu has successfully secured six-digit settlements.

Over the course of her career, Neelu has won major settlements and verdicts on behalf of injury victims. She represents both employers and employees in Workers’ Compensation cases or employment cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation or wage and hour violations.

On behalf of the defendants, she has won “take nothing” Awards at Trial and reached settlements for 0% permanent disability via Stipulated Award.

In Labor and Employment Law, Neelu is a dedicated advocate for aggrieved employees with workplace violations under state and federal wage and hour laws and discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation claims under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. Neelu has prior experience working at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in Labor and Employment Law.

Outside of her law practice, Neelu is involved in her legal and professional communities. She is a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, serving on the board of governors and the foundation board and co-chairing the diversity and website committees. She has written numerous articles for legal publications.

Neelu also belongs to the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and is a co-founder and board member of the 5Rivers Foundation.

Neelu received a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in economics from the University of Southern California and earned her Juris Doctor from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. While attending law school, she gained legal experience in the areas of Criminal and Family Law by clerking for a superior court judge.
