A recognized expert in Russia and the former Soviet Union, Mr. Volsky's practice is dedicated to international commercial and business law, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions with Eastern European counterparties in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Retail, Banking and Finance industries.  As one the pioneers of Russia's capital markets, Mr. Volsky held the position of Director of Corporate Finance at Aton Investment Bank (Moscow) and later became a Director Corporate Finance at Creditanstalt Investment Bank (CAIB-Moscow), a member of the Bank Austria Group of Companies. Mr. Volsky is also a former Director of Capital Markets and founding partner of the First Mercantile Capital Group (FMCG-Moscow).  A graduate of New York University (Bachelor of Arts-Cum Laude) and the Rutgers School of Law - Newark (Juris Doctor), Mr. Volsky's experience also includes Paine Webber and Merrill Lynch.  Mr. Volsky is admitted to the Bar in New York State.  He is fluent in English and Russian.

As a business owner, Mr. Volsky is the founder and president of LawMax Legal Finance, a New York based specialty finance company, specializing in providing capital to personal injury and commercial litigants.  A former vice president of the American Legal Finance Association (ALFA), Mr. Volsky is one of the early pioneers of this nascent industry.
