After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Jack M. Shapiro volunteered at CARPLS legal aid, providing legal advice to Chicago residents on issues of consumer debt, landlord/tenant, and family law. He also volunteered at the legal-aid help desk located inside Daley Center Courtroom 1401, advising pro se defendants on their rights and obligations under the law. Attorney Shapiro worked for several years at an insurance defense firm in the northwest suburbs. There, he represented insurance companies and their insureds in various areas of law, including personal injury defense, breach of contract, landlord/tenant, construction defect and appellate work.
