if I gave someone a pill an thouught it was something else would I be held liable if they committed a crime of murder

I came up on these pills I thought we're green tea????? I gave one to my daughters friend an myfriend my friend took hers rite away they had been dealing with alot of personal issues well now she is being charged with murder. My daughter's friend got into trouble with the pill for possession of a control substance. The charge was dropped because the pill with the "Green Tea" ???? Was bath crystals. Now I' dont no what to do with my friend who is in jail.
