I was in a car accident while on the job, is my employer liable?
Last updated on: February 14, 2020
I was driving my own car but driving on company business and I got into a car accident that the police report says it was my fault. I don't have any insurance and now a claim has been sent to me. Isn't my employer responsible to pay this claim?

Generally ih Ohjo anyway and in most states if you are driving in the course and scope of your emploment and were at fault both you and your emploer are responsible. Ask your employer to contact his insurance company
by all means purchase insurance for the next time.

Generally, if you were unequivocally driving for your employer's purpose and benefit, your injuries should be covered by your employer's workers' compensation insurance. Your employer should give you all the proper paperwork to file a claim.
