Someone taped a "NOTICE TO PERFORM COVENANT OR QUIT" letter to my apartment door tonight. This notice was not signed by the so-called "law firm", nor was it delivered by U.S. Postal Office and/or sealed in a professional envelope. The landlord did approve of me taking over the ex-roommate's lease because he fled to New York (Brooklyn or Queens), having spent my deposit and not paying for this month's rent as well. And illegally subletting his apartment out and overcharging by 30% above market value, which I had no idea. This letter states I have to leave within 3 days?! "You must therefore cure said breach within 3 days by removing the unauthorized occupants from the unit or quiet the premises. Again, I spoke with the landlord and she wants me to take over the lease, said I could stay until April 30th and she removed this ex-roommate off his lease, evicted him and emailed his fake name account to inform him that he is not to return to this apartment. I filed a police report with the West Hollywood Deputy Sheriff station, and gave the Deputy a copy of the massive amount of written verbal and violent assaults via x-roomate text and emailed me. He also said he can't wait to get his US Citizenship papers cleared so he can purchase a personal gun, book a flight to LA at the end of this month and shoot a lot of people, were his exact words. He's from Israel and fled Israel because he owed over $30,000 and they settled for $10,000 but he fled to the U.S.A. anyways. He owes us over $5,000. Do I ignore this unprofessional letter that someone had taped to my apartment door tonight?
