With the launch of LawLink 2.0 on December 1, 2008, we have introduced several new features. We are constantly improving our site and welcome your suggestions. If there is any new feature you would like to see or would like to report a bug, please let us know.

Perhaps a separate discussion question for bugs would be good. Here's the one that is on my mind:
Recently, I've noticed a slight bug. Every once in a while, when I click the "account" tab, Lawlink treats me as if I am visiting for the first time. The problem is normally corrected by navigating away from the "account" tab and then navigation back.

LawLink is the first and largest social network exclusively for the legal community. LawLink is a privately held company founded by attorneys.
Attorneys can select up to SIX practice areas. Only 1 practice area can be designated their Main Practice Area. But attorneys are listed in all of their 6 practice areas in the Attorney Directory.

Brian Davis, a former federal and state prosecutor, focuses his practice on criminal defense (especially federal), bankruptcy, and civil litigation throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana.
One thing that I think might help some of us is to allow listing of more than one area of practice. For example, my practice is about 45% bankruptcy, 45% criminal defense, and 10% commercial litigation. I would like to at least be able to list my two top areas of practice, especially because they are approximately equal parts of my practice.

A couple of things that might be nice. 1. Some kind of counter telling how many members there are and how many are online. 2. Better might be some kind of list showing who is online. 3. If none of that is easy, it would be nice to have an update every once and a while regarding the number of members.

A good way would be to allow links directly to blogs, linkedin, twitter, etc. This woudl add functionality and more ways to network. Also, a way to import gmail or outlook contacts to scan for those that you know would help as well.

"Attorneys You May Know" Feature Has Been Fixed
Tom, The "Attorneys You May Know" feature no longer lists attorneys that you are already connected to. Thanks for the heads up on this bug.
Sending Group Messages
Shauna, you are right. Group members are not notified via email when group messages are sent. We will correct that. Also, note that we are in the process of upgrading the Groups and will make inter-group communications much more efficient.

First off, I like the new look and functionality. One little nit pick though. On my start page, its lists "attorneys you may know." They are all attorneys from my firm to whom I am already connected. Must be a small bug . . .
