I am the owner of Kravitz Law Office, LLC, a boutique law firm in Columbus, Ohio focusing on Environmental Law, Natural Resources Law, Consumer Law, and General Litigation.  

I have a combination of private practice and government experience, enhancing my firm’s ability to address legal issues successfully. Prior to opening Kravitz Law Office, I was an associate attorney for an environmental law firm and a consumer litigation law firm. Additionally, I practiced several years with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Environmental Enforcement Section. I was a supervisor for the Solid Waste unit and litigated Solid Waste, Air, Water, Mining, Coal Mining, Oil and Gas, and other environmental cases. I also advised the Director of Ohio EPA on landfill licensing issues. Through this experience, I have developed an effective network of professional, government, and consultant relationships. 

I have been a speaker for the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) Environmental Law Seminar and the Conference of Government Mining Attorneys (COGMA). On several occasions, I have spoken on various environmental and natural resource law issues including “Saving Your Assets” (discussing individual liability in environmental cases).

Among other notable cases, I successfully represented his clients’ interests in the following cases: State ex rel. Petro v. Mercomp., Inc., 167 Ohio App.3d 64 (2006) (upholding lower court decision on environmental individual shareholder liability); State ex rel. Petro v. Mid-Ohio Petroleum Co., 2005-Ohio 6271 (2005)(reversing common pleas decision and allowing enforcement action to proceed even with bankruptcy filing); Floyd Simpson & Country Mile Farm v. Div. of Mines & Reclamation, 2001-Ohio-3348 (1999) (upholding determination that in a coal-permitting decision the Chief was not required to consider competing oil and gas interests or other unmined coal seams).
