Ben Cote is the founder of Cote Law Group, a Massachusetts law firm dedicated to helping families and business owners plan for the future with confidence.

With more than a decade of experience in estate planning, real estate, and business law, Ben is known for providing thoughtful, down-to-earth advice that puts clients at ease. Before opening his own firm in 2024, he spent over a decade at Stiles Law, where he handled everything from complex trust planning and probate litigation to real estate and construction transactions.

Today, Ben focuses primarily on estate planning for Massachusetts families—from new parents to retirees and everyone in between. He also represents clients in residential and commercial real estate deals across the South Shore. His approach is simple and client-focused: clear explanations, practical solutions, and a streamlined process that often wraps up in just one meeting.

Ben grew up in New Hampshire and earned his political science degree from Union College before graduating from Northeastern University School of Law. He now lives in Marshfield with his wife and their four kids. Outside of work, he’s a devoted Patriots fan, a self-taught guitar player, and a lifelong tinkerer who loves technology. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family—whether it’s hanging out by the pool or just catching up over a good meal.

Ben is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and has spoken at events hosted by local professionals, local groups, and national organizations. He serves as an honorary board member of the Well Spouse Association, a nonprofit that supports the spouses and partners of chronically ill or disabled individuals.
