Barry Nelson is an attorney in private practice in the Cincinnati suburb of Milford, Ohio. His practice is limited to franchising, trademarks, contracts, general business and related matters, with a special focus on start-up franchise systems. He represents a number of national franchise brands, among them COIT (drapery, carpet, upholstery, air duct, tile, and grout cleaning and disaster restoration), HOUSE DOCTORS (home repairs and remodeling), HOMETEAM (home inspections), MONITORCLOSELY (online digital surveillance), SPEEDPRO IMAGING (large scale printing and reprographics), STROLLERFIT (fitness), BABYSITEASE (babysitting services), and NITELITES (architectural and landscape lighting). He received a B.S. in accounting from Northern Kentucky University in 1981 and a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School in 1984. He is a member of the American, Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Clermont County Bar Associations, and the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of CASA For Clermont Kids!, an organization that provides juvenile court appointed special advocates for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
