Anthony is a senior attorney in the Corporate and Finance Group of the Columbus Office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. He focuses his practice on the insurance industry and handles regulatory, legislative and corporate issues. Prior to joining Vorys, Anthony was a corporate attorney and hearing officer with the Ohio Department of Insurance. In this role, he reviewed numerous insurance transactions and worked in several areas which included: Mutual company reorganizations; Form A, Form B, and Form D filings; Health Insuring Corporation applications, dissolutions, and major modifications, for both Medicaid and commercial carriers; Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA); Market Conduct Exams; and Rate and Form filings. While at the Ohio Department of Insurance, he was also named acting Deputy Assistant Director of the Life and Health division, where he oversaw the review and approval of rate and form filings. Following law school, Anthony clerked for Judge David W. Fais of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Anthony is licensed to practice law in Ohio.
