Prior to co-founding Mozwecz & Shams, Mr. Shams practiced for several years in the private sector in various industries. He spent years in the accounting field while at a private accounting firm and a commercial development company. Mr. Shams has also worked in the Information Technology field as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, and as Director of Information Technology for a $60+ million company. He gained further experience in international business transactions at a commodities trading company.

While at DePaul University College of Law, Adnan was selected for the Intellectual Property Legal Writing Program, Intellectual Property Clinic, and the Intellectual Property Digest which merged with the Journal of Arts, Technology, and Intellectual Property. Mr. Shams has prosecuted numerous patents and trademarks from conception to issuance.

Mr. Shams has orchestrated multi-million dollar transactions, mergers & acquisitions through preparing and reviewing contracts and joint venture agreements. His practice additionally concentrates on corporate matters, intellectual property, and conducting residential and commercial real estate transactions.
